My two boys...
Caden's looks seem to be changing everyday. His eyelashes are getting longer and longer along with his hair!
And the smiles are getting bigger and bigger!
I love to sit back and watch Cody play, especially when he doesn't know I'm watching. To hear him make car noises or to hear him talk in his singy little voice just makes me smile.

All Smiles
Caden was pretty happy the other night. What a cute little smile! His hair is growing back and right now it sticks straight up and it is sooo soft. But how can you keep from smiling when you look at that adorable smile!
Cody on the hand, probably is not smiling at this moment. This weekend he threw his pacifier in the trash. I asked him if he wanted a treat or a toy for throwing his paci away. Of course he chose cookies. But after the cookies were gone and it was nap time he yelled over and over, "I do my paci" and we kept telling him, "you threw it in the trash". He probably didn't think the cookies were worth it, but so far he's gone 3 days without it. Yeah Cody...what a big boy!

Cuddly Caden!
Caden is about 7 weeks in the first couple pictures here. He is a great baby. After looking at Chad's baby pictures, Caden is definitely a Chad Junior right now. But it's still hard to tell who he will end up looking like. We think he's finally figuring out day/night as he is sleeping better now...3-4 hours between feedings. He is also starting to coo (which I had forgotten how exciting it is to hear) and a few smiles that we are convinced are real! At 6 weeks he rolled over (or more like fell over) from front to back. He can only roll over when he is upset, he gets his legs under him and he gets to rocking and over he goes. Caden is very feisty which will be good as he gets bigger so he can hold his own against big brother! But when he gets upset I've never seen such a red face!
Crazy Cody!
Poor Cody had the flu this last weekend. He woke up from his nap and wasn't feeling to good. "I hurt mommy."
Cody and I had gone out in the back yard to check out the new pool that daddy blew up while he was napping. He laid down in the grass then stood up and was white as a ghost. He leaned in to hug me and then he throws up in the grass. He looked scared so I told him it was okay, don't worry. And he looked at me and said, "Birds eat that" I tried so hard not to laugh and I said yes they probably will...or the neighbor's cat!
Cody is over his fear of kitties now. Thanks to daddy he was terrified of them for a few weeks. Chad and Cody had been eating their lunch out on the deck when a stray cat came into our yard. So Chad looks around for something to throw at the cat (we are not cat lovers!). There is nothing but Cody's little deck chair. So he picks up the chair and chucks it at the kitty. I am watching all of this from the window and as soon as he threw it I shake my head and am thinking, "oh, that was not good." Cody by this point is bawling and running towards the door. Chad explained to him that he didn't want the kitty to get their food and that the kitty is okay...yadda yadda yadda nice kitty, etc. For the next couple nights Cody told the story..."kitty get daddys food no" "daddy hit kitty my seat" "kitty okay" "kitty bye-bye". So you can't blame Cody if he ends up not liking Cats!

Love, Love, Love
Cody loves little brother, sometimes Caden isn't so sure about all the hugs and kisses.
It amazes me how much Cody's vocabulary has taken off since Caden was born. It makes me think he could talk all along just didn't have a reason to until there was someone else around to share in the attention.
Yesterday Cody said to me, "Mom, I wike Caden" and I said, "Caden likes you too" then he said, "yeah, Caden's my fwend". How sweet! Cody has such a kind heart.
