Trick-or-Treat

It took a lot of convincing, but we finally got Cody to put on his fireman outfit and once he saw how cool he looked in it he didn't want to take it off. He insisted on wearing the hat backwards...he thought it was on correctly because the bill was in the front this way! And of course Caden is just like, "whatever".

Too bad mom won't let me actually eat any of this!

Crazy Fire Chief Cody

Halloween was fun this year. The first house we went to Cody rang the doorbell and said trick-or-treat then handed her some candy and she said that was the nicest trick-or-treater that's ever come to her door.

October 08

I guess I should shoot for updating once a month...so this will be my October post. It seems like the boys are changing so much lately. Cody is growing up and talking a mile a minute. I could write a book with all the funny things he has said lately. I'll just list a few...

*The other night he kept pulling on his nose and I said, "Cody, what are you doing?" and he said,

"Mom, I can't see my smile cause my nose is in the way".

*We went to a family funeral and at the visitation (open casket) my mom was holding Cody as we talked to the family and as soon as we left the room Cody pulled my mom's face towards his and said, "There was a man in there!" And the next morning when we were getting ready to go to the funeral he asked Grams where she was going and she said, "I'm going to a funeral" and he had a quizical look on his face and said, "Is that like a football game?" No, not quite.

*We went down to the high school football field for the new field dedication and the band was playing. As soon as we got in sight of the field and Cody could see the band on the field he started freaking out crying and not wanting to go in. We asked him what was wrong and he said he didn't like the clowns. And said that Caden didn't like the clowns either. So I guess we don't have to worry about him being in band! :)

Celebrate the small successes!

You would think by the looks of these pictures that we have mastered the potty training...well, not even close but we're making progress so we celebrate! This is muscle man in what he calls his "unders".
He was so proud of his terd that he had to take a picture so that we could show daddy. His latest thing is that he names his terds. Mommy terd, daddy terd, and Aunt Sarah terd. Sarah was pretty proud to have a terd named after her! :) Hopefully no one is offended by the picture of poop!

Pumpkin Patch

Cody's a shy kid. We went to the pumpkin patch with some friends; however you would never guess it from these photos. We went with Carson, Carter, Noah, and Abby but there is no evidence from the pictures...I guess Carson and Cody are together feeding the goats. Cody enjoyed picking out his own pumpkin but stayed right by my side most of the day.

Random Pics

Cody rescued some bunnies from daddy's office and fed them some lettuce before setting them free.

Caden's first attempt at eating baby food! Yummy!
